- Saint Louis University Brewing Science and Operations Certificate Program
Partnering with the St. Louis Brewers Heritage Foundation, Saint Louis University’s School for Professional Studies is proud to offer you our first online certificate in brewing science and operations. Brewing experts in the St. Louis area will teach you the scientific processes of brewing and fermentation, the engineering operations components of breweries, beer style and evaluation, the process used to manage a brewery, and how fermented beverages impact society.
- Southern Illinois University Fermentation Science Institute
Students will learn the principles of fermentation and applied applications in pharmaceuticals and energy production, sensory analysis and quality evaluation, yeast science and technology, and brewing science.
Greater St. Louis Regional Brewing Education Organizations
- Pink Boots Society – St. Louis Chapter
The Pink Boots Society was created to assist, inspire and encourage women beer industry professionals to advance their careers through education.
- Master Brewers Association of the Americas – District St. Louis
The Master Brewers Association of the Americas provides technical and practical knowledge that assists the brewing industry to continuously improve product, procedures, and processes.
Greater St. Louis Regional Homebrew Clubs
- East Side Brewers
Established in January of 2009, members are predominantly from the east side of the Mississippi River from St. Louis and are based in Edwardsville, Illinois. A semi-formal dues paying organization, the gatherings schedule is a combination of formal meetings, informal brew days, and unscheduled get -togethers.
- Garage Brewers Society
A group of homebrewers that meet the third Tuesday of every month at Missouri Beer Company in O’Fallon, MO. Meetings are very informal and anyone is welcome.
- Jefferson County Home Brewers
The mission of JEFFERSON COUNTY HOME BREWERS CLUB is to promote public awareness and appreciation of the quality and variety of home-brewed beer through education, research, and the collection and dissemination of information; also, to serve as a forum for the technological and cross-cultural aspects of the art of brewing; and to encourage personal responsibility when using beer or other alcohol-containing beverage.
- St. Louis Brewminati Homebrew Club
With a goal to promote and foster the art and science of homebrewing while having fun doing it, Brewminati members range from novice to expert and all experience levels are welcome at meetings.
- STL Hops Homebrew Club
Formed in early 2012, the STL Hops Homebrew Club is open to homebrewers of all experience and skill level. Meetings are held the second Tuesday of every month at Perennial Artisan Ales from 7-9pm.
- St. Louis Brews Homebrew Club
The St. Louis Brews is a club dedicated to the brewing, evaluation, and responsible consumption of home-brewed beers. Meetings take place the first Wednesday of each month at Modern Brewery from 7pm-10pm.
- The Ferm
The Ferm is a homebrew club for brewers of all experience levels based in Monroe County, Illinois. Their focus is on brewing education, beer tasting, and having fun!
- The OG: Women’s Craft Beer Collective
Educating and involving St. Louis area women in the craft beer movement. The OG holds monthly workshops that improve understanding and appreciation of beer and brewing. They support our local community by participating in and hosting charity events, promote and enjoy beer culture and each other, and celebrate diversity in our beverages and community.
