Local St. Louis Breweries Battle for a Good Cause at St. Louis Blood Drive

St. Louis, MO — On May 9, 2024, St. Louis area residents will have the chance to support their favorite local brewery and the American Red Cross by participating in the Battle of the Breweries blood drive. The event will occur from 1 to 6 p.m. at eight locations across the St. Louis Metro area.  

Those who donate blood at the event will receive a free, one-of-a-kind Battle of the Breweries t-shirt. Additionally, you’ll receive a token to redeem for a free incentive item from a brewery at a later date. The winning brewery will also receive a special trophy!

Here are the locations where the blood drive will take place:  

  • The Bellwether (1419 Carroll St, St. Louis, MO)
  • Mid County YMCA (1900 Urban Dr, Brentwood, MO)
  • American Red Cross Donor Center (3533 Dunn Rd, Florissant, MO)
  • Embassy Suites St Charles (Two Convention Center Blvd, St Charles, MO) 
  • South County YMCA (12736 Southfork Rd, St. Louis, MO) 
  • Elks Lodge 1721 (4 Elks Club, Festus, MO)
  • Sullivan Bank – St Clair (1150 N Main St, St Clair, MO) 
  • O’Fallon Illinois YMCA (284 N 7 Hills Rd, O’Fallon, IL)
  • Climb So iLL @ the Power Plant (1419 Carroll St, St. Louis, MO)

To make an appointment to donate blood, individuals can download the Red Cross Blood Donor App, visit RedCrossBlood.org, or call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767). When scheduling an appointment, they should enter the sponsor code BREWERYBATTLE to find these locations.  

Participating in this event means not just giving the gift of life. You’re also supporting the local community and fostering a spirit of friendly competition between our regional breweries. Your contribution is invaluable and can make a real difference.
