About St. Nicholas Brewing Co.

St. Nicholas Brewing Company resides in the rehabbed historical site of the former St. Nicholas Hotel, a landmark that originally opened in the 1800’s in the small Southern Illinois town of Du Quoin. After a period of abandonment that almost led to its destruction, renovations began in 2009 to transform the building into its current state: a microbrewery and restaurant that is once again a town staple. St. Nick serves pizza and sandwiches, along with in-house brews including 7’11 Blond Ale and Cadence Porter, and seasonals like Cocoa Milk Stout and Headless Horseman Pumpkin Ale. As a bonus for visitors who desire the complete historical experience, St. Nick resides just across the street from the Du Quoin Amtrak Station, with regular routes from Carbondale and Centralia that make stops daily.
