About Urban Chestnut - Midtown

Urban Chestnut has become a haven for beer lovers and passionate St. Louisans alike thanks to its commitment to the local community and a vibrant events calendar. Often partnering with area makers and entrepreneurs, Urban Chestnut has made their beer the backdrop for the community that frequents their 2 locations: the Midtown Brewery & Biergarten which focuses on light fare, in-house smoked meats, and brews; and the Grove Brewery & Beer Hall, which has become the base for their brewing operation, along with a full kitchen and a larger menu. Beers include a variety of draughts and bottles created by head brewmaster Florian Kuplent, an award-winning expert that has honed his skills at dozens of breweries from Bavaria to the U.S., specializing in experimental beers that have a hint of traditional Bavarian style.
